Quick answer

Florida can only apostille a signature it can verify: a Florida official (State Registrar, Clerk of Court, Division of Corporations, FDLE) or a Florida notary. Public records need a fresh certified copy from the issuing office; private documents need a Florida notarization with a complete certificate. Pick your document below — $220 per document, 5–7 business days.

Notarized personal documents

Common questions

Yes. $220 per document, $380 for two, and $160 each for three or more — whether it gets an apostille or a non-Hague authentication. The state fee, the request form, in-person filing and FedEx shipping inside the U.S. are included. Not included: whatever the issuing office charges for a certified copy or certificate, and notarization (online notarization is a $40 add-on). International return shipping is a flat $100 per order.
Probably, if it was issued by a Florida official or notarized by a Florida notary. Call (850) 900-3443 or email [email protected] with a photo and we'll tell you before you pay.
No. Each state apostilles its own documents. A document issued or notarized in another state has to go to that state's competent authority.
Then Florida issues an authentication certificate instead of an apostille — same process, same $220. Two more steps follow — authentication by the U.S. Department of State and legalization at the embassy — which we don't handle.
