Florida diplomas go to the Dominican Republic for two main reasons. A professional who wants to practice there, a doctor for example, generally needs the degree recognized through the Ministerio de Educación Superior, Ciencia y Tecnología (MESCyT) and then the exequátur that authorizes professional practice. Families moving with children need school records for enrollment through the Ministerio de Educación. Either way, the Florida document must be notarized by the school at issuance, with the registrar signing before a notary. Ask MESCyT or the school which records it wants before you order transcripts.
