How a Florida adoption documents is used in Israel
Adoption papers go to Israel when an Israeli citizen adopts in Florida and wants the child registered, or when an adopted child's records are needed for aliyah or inheritance. The final judgment of adoption, certified by the Clerk of Court and apostilled, is the core document, along with the child's Florida birth certificate. Israeli authorities review foreign adoptions under their own rules, so ask the Israeli mission early. Florida adoption files are confidential, so certified copies come through the court that granted the adoption.

The final judgment of adoption certified by the Florida Clerk of Court (wet-ink or official e-certification), with all pages attached; its state fee is $20. The new birth certificate must be a certified copy signed by the State Registrar and certified in 2014 or later; its state fee is $10. Both fees are included in our price.
Adoption records are confidential under section 63.162, Florida Statutes, and released only on court order. The easiest time to get certified copies is through your adoption attorney while the case is still open; for an older case, ask the clerk what they require, since you may need to file a request with the court. Who receives it in Israel — and translation
The Population and Immigration Authority's Population Registry records marriages, divorces, births and deaths, usually through Israeli missions when you're abroad. Aliyah files go through the bodies handling immigration eligibility. The Registrar of Inheritance handles inheritance orders, and the Land Registry (Tabu) handles property. The Consulate General of Israel in Miami serves Florida.
For registering a change of personal status, gov.il requires a notarized translation only for certificates not in Hebrew, English or Arabic, so English Florida certificates usually need none. If another office asks for Hebrew, our rule applies: a translation certified by the translator, notarized by a different notary and apostilled in Florida.
Israel has no single expiry for apostilled documents. Aliyah files and some offices may want recent police records or civil-status documents, so check your file's list before ordering.
