How a Florida articles of incorporation is used in Israel

A Florida company that opens an Israeli subsidiary, registers as a foreign company, or buys property in Israel will be asked by its Israeli lawyer for proof of incorporation. Certified articles from the Florida Division of Corporations, apostilled, are the usual starting point, and a resolution authorizing the transaction is typically added. Israeli lawyers frequently work from English documents, so translation may not be needed. Order a fresh certified copy from Sunbiz; old copies invite questions.

Getting a articles of incorporation Florida will apostille

An original certified copy issued by the Division of Corporations; not a Sunbiz printout or photocopy, and not a notarized copy, since Florida notaries can't attest copies of public records. Add certified amendments, name changes or conversions if the company's current name or structure differs from the original filing.

Request a certified copy from the Division with the entity name, document number, document type and filing date. The Florida Department of State also accepts a certified-copy request filed together with the apostille request, paid with two separate checks, which we can file for you. The Division's own fee (listed at $8.75 for a corporation and $30 for an LLC at this writing) is not included in our $220.

State fee for this document: $10 — included in our price. Full details on the articles of incorporation apostille page.

Who receives it in Israel — and translation

The Population and Immigration Authority's Population Registry records marriages, divorces, births and deaths, usually through Israeli missions when you're abroad. Aliyah files go through the bodies handling immigration eligibility. The Registrar of Inheritance handles inheritance orders, and the Land Registry (Tabu) handles property. The Consulate General of Israel in Miami serves Florida.

For registering a change of personal status, gov.il requires a notarized translation only for certificates not in Hebrew, English or Arabic, so English Florida certificates usually need none. If another office asks for Hebrew, our rule applies: a translation certified by the translator, notarized by a different notary and apostilled in Florida.

Israel has no single expiry for apostilled documents. Aliyah files and some offices may want recent police records or civil-status documents, so check your file's list before ordering.
