How a Florida employment letter is used in Argentina
Most Argentine work residences are built on a contract with an Argentine employer, so a Florida employment letter plays a supporting role. It matters when you move to Argentina while still working remotely for a U.S. company and must prove that income, or when a university or professional council wants proof of experience during degree revalidation. Have the employer's HR officer sign the letter before a notary, with title, dates and salary, so it can be apostilled. Then a traductor público translates it, including the notarial certificate.
Getting a employment letter Florida will apostille
A letter on company letterhead with the signer's name and title, signed in front of a Florida notary who completes an acknowledgment in a representative capacity (naming the company) or a jurat. The certificate needs venue, presence or online box, date, ID type and a seal with an active commission, and the contents must match what the consulate requires.
Send HR the consulate's required wording first. If HR is outside Florida, the signer can join our online notarization session with a Florida-commissioned online notary from anywhere: $40 for the first document ($10 notarization fee + $30 technology platform fee) and $20 for each additional document. Notarization is not included in our $220.
State fee for this document: $10 — included in our price. Full details on the employment letter apostille page.
Who receives it in Argentina — and translation
The Dirección Nacional de Migraciones handles residence (applications start online in RaDEX and finish in person). Argentine consulates in the U.S. handle the opción de nacionalidad and can also take poderes. The Registro Civil of each jurisdiction registers foreign records, and in Buenos Aires City foreign divorces and adoptions are registered on an Argentine court's order. Degree revalidation goes to national public universities, and escribanos and courts receive powers of attorney and estate documents.
Our general rule is a translation certified by the translator, notarized by a separate notary and apostilled in Florida, but Argentina instead requires an in-country professional for official filings. Under Law 20.305, foreign-language documents filed with Argentine authorities need a Spanish translation by a registered traductor público, and Migraciones and the Buenos Aires Registro Civil also want the Colegio de Traductores to legalize the translator's signature. Get the Florida apostille first so the traductor público translates the apostille page too.
Argentina doesn't publish one freshness rule for every foreign document. Criminal-record certificates are the most time-sensitive, so order them last and ask Migraciones or the consulate how recent they must be; for vital records, a freshly certified copy avoids the pre-2014 signature problem anyway.
